Hi! I just moved to Northern Virginia from Manhattan and I am in need of a good Dominican Hair Salon/Stylist -- that is not trying to charge $50 for a wash and set (this has been my experience here)! I have tried many of the salons in DC and MD, but I still haven't found one that is as good as my beloved Dominican stylist in NYC. If anyone knows of any salons in Northern Virginia (ie Alexandria, Arlington, etc); please send an email to grahamtm@yahoo.com Thank you very much!

Hi,
I'm new to MD from NJ and am looking for a Dominican salon in the Baltimore area.

Sam,
Do you have any info on the salon on Hilton Avenue in Baltimore?

Any recommendations on salons and/or stylists would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks so much!!

I am a Jaminican (Jamaican and Dominican) that recently relocated to the DC Metro area and cannot for the life of me find a Dominicana to do my hair. I saw the threads in the archives about some lady named Lucia, but when I click on the link the page doesn't come up. Can someone please please please help me.
Thanks
Hi I am a Jamaican and when I moved to this area from JA I had a hard time too. The hairdressers I had at home did my hair just like the Dominicans. Well I recently found out about a few in DC. I visited Giovanni's before and they are pretty good. That's in DC close to addams morgan I think. I couldn't find one in Baltimore though for the life of me until recently I heard of Manuelas Beauty Salon on East Baltimore Street. I went there and they did a good job too. Now my hair can finally grow back. Hope this info helps you or anybody else looking.
