Default Health and Well Being
I have had a major breakthrough in my health and well being during my current Landmark Education Seminar, Sex and Intimacy. I saw that while I wanted to lose weight, it was all about looking good. When I transformed the context, I created the possibility of a family that is healthy and vital together! That lights me up way more than just me looking "skinnier". Yesterday, I took my family with me for the town's Red Ribbon Walk, a 2 mile walk, which was very fun and got us out and exercising together for a great cause. Then today I went for my first real "long run" of my half marathon training, 6 miles! All of this out of transforming my context for health! Thank you Landmark Education!

Great to hear! I've started exercising again these past couple of weeks myself. Sort of like what you said, I've found that 'I really should do something' or 'I look like crap' really aren't the kind of powerful contexts that get me into action, and don't create any more of a future than the idea of avoiding something bad. If I'll I'm trying to do is avoid something bad, it's easy enough to watch television or get involved in something to forget the fact that I'm out of shape until the next time I look in the mirror. What had me get going, and I'm enjoying exercising these past couple of weeks much more than usual, isn't feeling bad, but rather looking at the kind of person I want to be for the next 40 years of my life - someone who has the fitness and mastery to take on all of life. Seeing a future of mastery and exploration is a far better motivator than a fat belly, I think.

Keep sharing how it's going!
