I can see both sides of this point, that;s for sure.
A GT will always be a GT, but a guy could buy one for 25-30K and put a fully forged, DSS twin turbo charged stroker with Griggs suspension and blow the doors off a Shelby in a straight line and on a road course, and it won't be a Shelby. But it'll be fast. If I had 70 grand to spend on any car, I'd love to have one. |

yeah since the shelby's are going for about 70K, I'd sooner spend the same on a c6 z06 and run mid-low elevens. The z06 = sex. Hangs with or outperforms the exotics, plus can be serviced at any chevy dealer.
also, ford FTL as far as sticking the GT folk with the forged internals. Windows in my engine block are not my idea of fun lol. |
