I think that the most interesting change is that the 1.6T will be most likely allowed. http://argent.fia.com/web/fia-public...08.11.2011.pdf |

I hope that IRC keep S2000 NA as their top class also for 2012. It has been a huge success, and have created the closest rallying we have seen i years.
Switch class to the new 4wd class coming for the the 2013 season. Leave the WRCar and RRC/SP cars for WRC. Let them try and get a healthy championship together, with those hugely expensive cars. Do not break something that works ! |

Will we see any new homologated S2000 1.6T in the future? In a way it would be interesting to see a S2000 1.6T driver taking a batch with the WRC drivers with a class 1 car.
Class 1: S2000-Rally: 1.6 T engine with a 33mm restrictor 2012 WRC sporting regulations GP Week page 20 “There is no apparent policy at the moment at the FIA about a satisfactory future for the 1.6 litre (1.6T) S2000.” |
