Just spotted this:
Williams stalwart Patrick Head, one of the Formula 1 paddock's best known figures, has decided to move away from the sport after the end of the 2011 campaign. I have to say that it is amazing, how consistent the leadership of Williams has been in F1 terms. Frank and Patrick have been the leading figures of the team this year, they were also 30+ years ago! Who else can even remotely claim that? Ron Dennis became McLaren's team principal in 1981, so he comes close.
But one day all of that has to come to an end and I suspect Frank may not stay around for many more seasons either. Let's see, how can this 'new' team carry on the legacy of Williams. |

Not even a spare seat in the board of directors.
Unsurprisingly: Why will he not be there? Williams and Head were both unavailable for comment on Monday. I'm told, though, that his difficult relationship with chief executive officer Adam Parr was a part of Head's decision to step down. BBC - Andrew Benson: Barrichello back in Williams frame |
