Every team has test drivers which is as back up incase any of there main drivers has any problems like getting arrested all that.

But one thing i find quite amazing is that f1racing.net shows ferrari has 5 test drivers warming there backs on the bench . Sauber has none.

what on earth do ferrari do with 5 test drivers on bench?

Well Fissi is the official reserve, so attends the race meetings etc.

As for the others, you can discount Rossi as he's just playing in old cars. Jules is a rising star and if memory serves has had a run or two to date and probably gets a fair few runs in the sim. Marc and Luca - no idea what they are doing on the pay role tbh. Its not like they can be out there bedding in brakes etc anymore with such limited testing.
