Those sidepod contours are pretty different.

It all looks quite nice until the rear 1/3rd of the car with the rear wing and the patchy bodywork around the exhaust.

I'm not a fan of the snowplough on the front. They could've put it to good use at Fiorano.

Interesting thus far that Ferrari havent released any official shots of the rear of the car..........some bits they want to keep away from prying eyes perhaps?!

Sorry but I think the rear looks awful bearing in mind that this is the most flattering angle.

The Ferrari looks nice until that carbuncle was imposed on it.

And those mirrors.....

Why did they run on intermediates?! Track looks as dry as possible.

And that oval air intake is not very aesthetic, but the rear wing beats it!
All in all not a flattering angle to take a picture of it!

They only did a couple of laps to show it off so I guess they just banged on an old set of inters.

Bearing in mind the Ferrari usually looks one of the nicest cars, I hate to think what the new regs will look like on some of the others.

Thank God Honda's Earth project isn't out there

It's nothing new. They 'stole' that off the Force Indias and Renaults.

And I'm surprised those deflectors/shields/ears have been managed to be somewhat retained this year.

Overall the F60 is a nice tidy package. Looks more like FBMW/FRenault than F3. I was expecting a lot worse but then again all the cars will look similar and will come as a less surprise as the year goes on.

As long as the racing's good there'll be no complaints.

In addition to what Knock-on said, keep in mind that it's blummin' cold out there at the moment. The movement of the tread on the inters means they heat up a lot quicker.

Side-on it looks great, but those wings still look, well, wrong. Overall though I'm pleasantly surprised, lets see if any other team has gone down a different route

Yep, it's going to be one of the issues of the 2009 season, drivers getting their tyres up to operating temperature. Slick tyres do offer more grip than grooved, but only when they have a much bigger variance in performance according to the temperature.

It's something we haven't seen so much in recent years but I remember races on slicks back in the day where a driver already on track would have about a laps advantage on a car just exiting the pits who's tyres were not yet fully warmed up, despite tyre warming blankets.

That and KERS - or more specifically how reliable it is and whether it's worth the excess weight. Ferrari confirmed that the car today was running with it but may not use it in Melbourne citing reliability concerns

Because of the softer compound

Neat little racer!

Seriously it is a beautiful F1 racer with smooth lines. If it wasn't for those rear view mirror supports it would be perfect.
I was very dissapointed with the mirror supports too. first thing that I noticed. Basically still a winglet. Maybe a loophole in the rules?

I think that from the top and side view it is the sleekest looking F1 car i have ever seen. No garbage, just flowing red.

Also, do you think that the name F60, a reference to Ferrari's longest tenure, another stab at Bernie by Luca?

To me it is a sort of double entendre, a celebration of their history, and a reference to the fact that they ARE the old boys club.

It seems to fit right in with their pissing contest.

It doesn't look as awful as I expected. Now, with that front wing, visits to the pits to replace it will be a very common thing this year

Hopefully it is, and rightly so. And if they manage to make bernie leave F1 than it will be called the mophead destroyer!

From some view angles the car actually looks quite nice (starting to get used to the new look, eh?), but the front look is still annoying for my eyes with highly emphasized width of that 'massive' front wing.

Maybe watching one car isn't too bad, but looking at 20 such bulldozers on the grid at Melbourne will look kinda odd.

Well, what can I say more? Like mentioned before, the inlets in sidepods look quite interesting (smaller than before at first glance, haven't made an investigation), but due to massive changes won't really try to make too far-fetched conclusions at the moment before another car hasn't been seen for enabling to get some kind of a comparison platform. And the next one - Toyota, that is.
