Default Ferrari 2009
I just heard that due to bad weather conditions, Ferrari has decided to debut its 2009 car Mugello on Monday as opposed to Fiorano.

Maranello has been hit hard by the weather in the last 24 hours, with the Fiorano test track left covered by a layer of snow!

hello,

i am a Ferrari fun, so i am looking forward to see the new 2009 car,

not only because of the new regulations, but also because Ferrari have not shown us any components like new wings, on the interim cars they test in the last testings.

Are they going to represent the car like last year? if i am correct, they just gave some photos to the press, nothing special...

Are they going to run the car only on the circuit and give some ''interim photos'' to the press? I am looking forward to that, because is the first car to go out on track!!!

Imagine every team to have different aerodynamic look and different aerodynamic philosophy ... !!!!

Or those Red tinted glasses you got on .

Though in fairness, does look better than expected. I think with time we'll come to appreciate the look of these new cars. I remember the transistion from 1997 to 1998 was strange, and they looked weird, but I got use to them pretty quick.

And with the unveiling of first car, already I can see myself liking them.

The front view from Henry looks pretty tidy.

I'm still not a fan of those narrow rear wings. Couldn't they have made them less efficient whilst retaining the width?

Or those glasses, youre right

I think people will eventually see that for example the 2008 BMW was a horrible mockery of car design.

Maybe imposing that the extra width should have a neutral section and angle (and very very stiff too ).

Neat little racer!

Seriously it is a beautiful F1 racer with smooth lines. If it wasn't for those rear view mirror supports it would be perfect.

Perhaps they should have launched the car at Fiorano after all. That front wing would have cleared the snow in no time

Nice to see some clean lines on a F1 car again, and hopefully a permanent end to dumbo wings, horrible chimneys and flip-ups; as well as those horrible grooves which had no place on racing tyres.

The massive difference in size between the front and rear wings will take some getting used to, but I'd imagine that five minutes into first practice at Melbourne and we won't really care.

I'm curious to see how long is it going to take me to get used to this. It still looks bad to me. I'm glad to see the little wings gone but the front and the rear wing seem to come from different cars. They seem just so disproportionate

this is more or less what i expected of the '09 cars, i think it looks good.

What i'm really looking forward to is seeing how each individual team interperates the new rules, i'm sure there won't be any hint of similarity between cars this year! They will all have a level of uniqueness that we haven't seen since the '90s i think
