I have to say that 'Complex String' is by far my favourite track & I wish it was a real one it's got virtually everything you could ask for & it's long & exciting much like old F1 tracks before the regulations limited track-size.

What the hack is that complex string thingy?
It certainly is not practical. What is the use to have the same combination of turns 5 times one after the other?
I understand that diversity is needed but it should also contain some common sense.

As for my favorite tracks, they are all real (I really can't remember any of those NFS tracks I still used to play every now and then 5+ years ago).

So:
1. Spa
2. Old Hockenheim
3. Suzuka
4. Monaco

Spa, Donington, Nordschleif, Suzuka, Road America, Mid Ohio, Imola, Bathurst and Laguna Seca.

From the computer game world, GT's Grand Valley, Grindalwald (on GT2), Special Stage Rout 11, El Capitan and Trial Mountain are the best I've come across.

Ioan, the point of the Complex string was to be a test track, very technical but rather dull to drive, and you could only race on their in 2 player mode.

Real-life: possibly Montreal, the new Nurburgring or the Hungaroring.

Fake: Trial Mountain or the Seattle Circuit from GT.

Hey, it's so cool it uses a pattern but gets harder & harder as you go through!

It's more of a test-track but as a race-track it would certainly be worth a shot. At nearly 7.5km it's 41 laps long but at 210 minutes estimating time to finish it's well above the 120 minute maximum (each lap takes about three & half minutes) although to be fair the Polyphony 001 appears to be faster than the cars on F1'06 (hitting 350km was not particularly difficult on the straight) suggesting that F1 cars have slowed down even when setting up the Renault R26, Ferrari 248 or McLaren-Mercedes MP4-20 you never truly could get beyond 340km/h!

Still, I'd love to race on Complex String someday!

Interesting.
When I first looked at the image I thought it looks like a dedicated test track for an automotive or tire manufacturer.

If it was my track I'd include an oval around it. Actually it isn't real that's what makes me sad since I'd practically live there & host 18 races a year. It's soooooooo good!

Favorite Tracks:

1) Nurburgring Nordschleife
2) Spa pre 1970, though the current track isn't bad!
3) Suzuka
4) Laguna Seca
5) Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez pre baseball stadium
6) Road America
7) Brands Hatch, though I could be biased as its just down the road from me

Fantasy Tracks:

Only Loch Lanoch (sp?) on Toca springs to mind - I tend to only play 'real' tracks.

My favourite tracks would also be these...and probably the same order too!
Perhaps I will add Montreal and Silverstone to it.
