Really?!

I think not. Let's not forget that they've got a full soccer team with plenty of stars, still none of their opponents were threatened with death.
Exactly!
plus for some reason Massa ain't a big celebrity in Brazil, Barrichello was much more "on the spotlight" when he was in Ferrari

! think you missed my point.
I thought my post clearly stated that Massa is the one in peril
of having some kind of felonious activity perpetrated on him
Sorry if the "phil" referance fooled you! I was just trying to be ironical
Sorry, my bad.

That would depend on whether Lewis is "Voodoo Concious"

"'pinchalaruedadehamilton' (translated as "burst Hamilton's tyre").

Visitors to the website are invited to place imaginary nails, pins and porcupines on a computer version of the Interlagos track where Hamilton will fight Massa for the championship"

"Hamilton cannot finish the race," the website - which features the logo of advertising agency Tequila Spain - says. "We have to stop him however we can."

"McLaren and Formula One's governing body have condemned Spanish racists after hundreds of hate messages were posted on a 'voodoo-style' website targeting title favourite Lewis Hamilton"

Now it's official if Lewis has any problems with any, and all aspect of equipment weather, uh.......well anything that keeps him from winning the WDC we will all know it was because of those peskey Alonzo fans that have resorted to Witch-craft!

I suspect that they will not be losing any sleep at interpole over this one

Is it me, or are we only really concerned with serious death threats!

If so should that include this sillyness?

Dude you are trippin'

Still, it's pretty sad that there are those out there who would take racism to this extreme even if it is not meant to be serious. I'm not a Hamilton fan, but the thought of anyone making racist remarks or threats toward him is sick and wrong. This is just a sport, people! Regardless of who emerges as WDC on Sunday, we'll all be back at work on Monday and life will go on.

Those with small minds and petty lives are taking this a bit too far!

Whilst I'm totally against racism, I think they are making too much of a fuss on this.

I live with 3 spanish people, who don't really see the problem. Its no different to making fun of Alonso for having bushy eyebrows etc, its just they doing it on colour of his skin. Whats the difference in making fun of someone for having bushy eyebrows or dark skin?

From my understanding, in Spain they have a more relaxed attitude to the line between banter and racism, and its not really seen as racist, or no more racist than making fun of someones eyebrows.

And I'm inclined at agree, I think society (in UK anyway), is too focussed on race.

I don't think this Spannish thing is rascism or threatening his safety

It just seems a bit of harmless fun and ribbing to me.

Sticking imaginary nails around the circuit lol

As far as I can make out, the "game" in question revolves around trying to get a computerised Hamilton to DNF a race. That may be somewhat immature, but it isn't racism.
