Default New Qualifying rule?
Does anyone know. The minimum speed on the cool down lap. Does that include laps completed after the Chequered flag?

The press release really doesn't say if it applies after the Chequered flag. Can they still do the super slowmo laps after the end of the session. You would figure cars doing slow laps after they have crossed the finish line, shouldn't pose a hazard to anyone. If so it would be smart to put in your last hot lap right at the end, and still be able to save fuel on the cool down lap. Or maybe it applies to all cool down laps regardless.

isn't that what happened in Malaysia? I don't see how this would work unless it applied to all cool-down laps.

Lat week those cars on slow laps had not taken the checkered flag. After taking the checker there should be no cars on hots laps, as the session is over. So that shouldn't really be a safety hazard, but maybe they will apply it to all laps to avoid confusion.

As far as Mosley whipping anyones ass! If you beleive everything you read, he may have done too much of that already!
