Default Who needs Shumi?
There was a lot talk after last season that F1 will loose so much when Shumi retires. Now, after best season on years, who misses him anymore?

It is always a shame when a great driver retires, but there are always others ready to take over. All sports have to move on from one great to another, or others.

Yes. He has left F1 in the right hands.

Was Ralf in that race today? I didn't notice him.

For me F1 stays an interesting sport no matter who drive. This season was interesting and I hope next one will be even more.

With the exception of the current drivers, no other formula driver is driving now. And some are missed sometimes, most are never missed. What's your point, exactly?

I do, after the brazil race, I don't think anyone can drive like that again, passing about 13 cars in the one race

He was a great driver, but I never missed him one bit this season. Nor did I expect to either

That's a tall order. Three drivers within just 1 point is the closest as far as I can remember.

Well, yeah. I don't miss Senna. I don't miss Mansell, I don't miss Hakkinnen. I won't miss Alonso for a single second when he leaves.

I still struggle to understand what is the point of this thread

well tin I guess it's a case of nobody will miss any ex-drivers, but some seem to miss the old bashing/trolling threads

His kids. Seriously, the good man has retired, gave 17 years to formula 1. And you ask who needs Shumi? isn't that irrelevant?
