Default Fuji track - what's that chicane?
Why the hell do they use that crappy chicane in sector 3? Pointless piece of track, totally ruins the track.

This is F1. No circuit is complete without a crappy chicane

Unfortunately that looks like the most sensible explanation

BTW, I've seen the circuit and it's nominated as most boring circuit of the calendar by me.. Bring on Suzuka!

yep!

blame it on Hermann Tilke for that track design

played the new fuji track on GT4 on the PS2, without the chicane its better

A nice large braking zone. You won't be complaining if we get some good slipstreaming and overtaking on the back straight.

I think it's due to the very small tarmac run off at the following corner. They'd be braking straight at a tyre barrier/wall that would be quite close to the track, as that corner is lined with grandstands...

Yes I would. I take a nice fast flowing turn over an artificial passing zone any day.
