haiyo swathy, I watched this couple of times, SOME OF THE PARTICIPANTS are so interestingly dull witted

probably tension and stage fear

Sometimes its fun watchign anou hassan, she cant even grin or show emotions or expressions on hearing weird answers

நானும் தினம் தினம் இந்த JAYA TV 20-20 (காமெடி...??) நிகழ்ச்சியைக்கண்டு ரசிக்கிறேன்.

மிக மிக சாதாரணமான கேள்விகளுக்குக் கூட எதிர்பாராத விடைகளையளித்து நம்மை சிரிப்பில் ஆழ்த்துகின்றனர். (இதையெல்லாம் மனதில் வைத்துதான் விவேக், ஒரு குயிஸ் போட்டி நடத்தும்போது 'எட்டுக்கால்பூச்சிக்கு எத்தனை கால்?' போன்ற கேள்விகளெல்லாம் கண்டுபிடித்திருப்பார் போலும்)

பல நேரங்களில் ஸ்கோர் சமமாகும்போது, யாரை செலக்ட் பண்ணுவது என்பதற்கு அனு கைக்கொள்ளும் முறை ரொம்ப நகைச்சுவை.

Yesterday I was fortunated (unfortunated..?) to watch this 20-20 quiz programme.

Anu told, yesterday episode for 'undergraduates'.

Q: In which country 'Tashkant' city is..? (we all know it is in Russia, familier by former PM LBSashtri's death)

Answer: Hariyana

Q: Which river joins in bay of Bengal near MannAr vaLaigudA..? (that is in between India & Srilanka)

Answer: River Ganges (Ganga)

the next one is hilarious....

Q: 6 feet 2 inches have totally howmany inches..?.

Answer: 62 inches..

(before that girl give 'this' answer, my neighbourhood boy (3rd standard) correctly answered 74 inches)

Invariably that's what's on when I get home. It is almost as funny as GM who is competing elsehwere in the same timeslot

I used to think they have a low IQ cutoff as an eligibility criterion for participation. Now I am convinced it is a low IQ ceiling.

கேள்வி (அனு) : ராமாயணத்தில் வரும் ஜானகிக்கு 'மைதிலி' என்ற பெயரும் வரக்காரணம் என்ன?.

முதலில் பதில் தெரியாமல் விழித்தார். அடுத்த போட்டியாளர் 'மிதிலை' என்று ஆரம்பிக்க, அனு அவரை கையமர்த்தினார். ஆனால் அந்த வார்த்தையை அரைகுறையாக காதில் வாங்கிய போட்டியாளர் (கேள்வி கேட்கப்பட்டவர்) உடனே சொன்னார்...

"அவர் 'முதலை'யைப் பார்த்ததால் 'மைதிலி' என்று அழைக்கப்பட்டார்"

Yesterday (Feb-20), I watched this 20 / 20 programme in Jaya TV conducted by Anu Haasan.

She asked a question to a contestant : "who is director for the movie 'pAdha kANikkai'.

The contestant nod her head 'I dont know'

Anu Haasan told : "the correct answer is A.Bhimsingh avargaL' (which Anu gave is 100% wrong answer)

And the correct answer is K.SHANKAR.
