I liked the performance, and the monologue was ok, but can Gaga please retire the Jo Calderone persona now? I'm over it, and I fear that she's way too into it and we're going to have a Jo segment on tour or something like that.

I hope she DOES use Jo in the You&I segment of the Born the Way Ball. LOVED the performance! Glad people finally got to see a completely different side of her. Wonderful!

I haven't really been paying much attention to the Gaga lately but I really liked the VMA show. The song was OK but her performance was great!

I really wish she hadn't done You and I (nothing against the song, but not a great choice for this show), but I love love love that she was Jo and stuck with it the whole night. Such fun. I can't imagine what casual fans / non-fans made of it if they'd never seen her as Jo before.

my husband and i were what the fucking the entire time. like seriously, he kept looking over at me and at one point i just said STOP LOOKING AT ME, I DIDNT CREATE THAT.

I think it's wild she did the whole show as Jo. It was interesting seeing the other star's reactions to it... not really being sure how to take it, in awe. And then going into work today was exciting, most of the people I work with met it with total disgust! "She's so gross! what's wrong with her!"

I think she pulled it off fantastically. Good on her!

the only thing that i thought was a bit off about it was all the monologue-ing. It was getting a bit too much for me, the best way i can explain it was it wasnt full character to me. It was acted out how Gaga would expect this guy to behave. I dont know, the character just came off predictably when Im used to (what little i know of her) Gaga being so fresh. I like the balls it took to be Jo, but thats about it.
