Default Turn Up The Radio
RELAX, guys. There's no new clip.

But here are the lyrics:

http://drownedmadonna.com/index/item...-a-lyrics.html

We'll just use this thread for the song discussion as well once we have it.

It's looking like it's been pretty much confirmed that this song will be MDNA's third single.

A tweet from Marco V:

In the studio working on the last bits of my remix for the new Madonna single. #TUTR #previewsoon

UGH why wasn't this the first single? Yes, it's nothing groundbreaking, but it's not NEARLY as offensive as the first two. The new preview sounds really great.

The full song is decent. Lyrically a bit trite, but inoffensive. It sounds like a "Madonna" song, in my opinion. I don't know if it would've been an amazing first single or anything, but it's nice.

Okay, so after a bit of time with it all I can say is that I really wanted to love this song based on all of the initial reviews of the album. But like all of the lesser tracks on MDNA, the song suffers from a weak chorus and overall construction. It's just a frustratingly boring song with slight potential, in my opinion.

I'm not thrilled either, I'm afraid. It's generic euro dance and it does not sound like a classic Madonna song to me at all. Actually it's pretty much loyal to the demo version he played at some venue last summer, Madonna changed the lyrics and that's about it. The hook isn't effective and the whole thing is very repetitive. Go ahead and lapidate me but I honestly think Superstar would make a much stronger single. At least it has more than two sections in it and the song evolves production-wise. There!

I was most excited for Turn Up The Radio.. I was in love with the clip. Although I must say, I was kinda expecting more from the full song. I still think it's great.. but a lot of the others are taking control!

If it is indeed the next single, I have faith that Madge will deliver with the video. Especially after GGW. Imagery from the Hung Up video always comes to mind with this one.

Exactly. I don't get all the love either, the song is absolutely boring, doesn't go anywhere. It's almost as bad as Girl Gone Wild imo.

Ugh, I wish I hadn't heard this right before getting to work, because now it's stuck in my head.

Probably my least favorite track on the record. It's just so schmaltzy. I can't do it. I was hoping for something a bit goofier and acoustic-y and yet instead it's a half-baked Joy to the World/All the Boys & Girls Now shtick.

I love it. It's the perfect antidote for the dark tracks on the album, and I love the lyrics, they seem very genuine, I can totally relate to that need they describe.

I like the melody of the verses but the chorus is completely underwhelming. It really isn't the potential classic Madonna pop hit some of the pre-release reviews seemed to suggest. As a third single, I can't see it performing any better than the previous two to be honest.

do we think there's any chance that remix Marco V tweeted about could be a b-side on a different song's single? i just would so much rather see a different song (especially I'm Addicted) be a single, something more adventurous and fresh sounding.

I really hope it's not a single. So many other worthy tracks. I do hope it makes it's way on tour tho! I could see it being super fun live.

Initially I wasn't all that crazy about the song, but it has grown on me.
See, I'm the opposite. I initially loved it, now I "...eh" about it.

all this last minute preparation seems to indicate a craptastic video in the works. I'm thinking : Madonna dancing in revealing clothing in front of a wall of some sort...

First photo from the video!

And apparently Tom Munro IS directing, but Jonas Akerlund is involved somehow.
