Lo,
I made this new site recently: http://kbarchives.org/ It's definitely quite comprehensive and obsessive. So you might want to add it to the FAQ links sections or whatever. With that said, I'm not currently necessarily happy with the current hosting, I could need some help also, so if someone wants to host it for free or for a relatively small sum, all help would be welcome. The server would need Apache, MySQL and PHP. I know it's quite unlikely anyone would like to do it, but just asking. Regards, LAB |

When I went to have a look at the site all I could see was this message:
Hosting24 Website you were trying to visit was disabled for 5 minutes, because it received over 20% of total server requests. It means that this website was using over 20% of processor resources, which is above allowed limit. Website was temporary disabled to protect server from overloading and other websites on server. Please try again in 5 minutes. |

Guess I was under the false impression that anyone would care for this sort of thing here. Oh well, goodbye then. I've been back to visit now and everything was working fine. I actually really like the site, especially all the scans you've got of the KBC magazines. It's evident that you've put a lot of work into it. ![]() |

There's no need for you to leave or delete your account. It's just that when a link doesn't work the first time around people move on and forget all about it. That's not the same thing as people not being interested in your site. |

Exactly. Criticism is always helpful when it is constructive. When it isn't it is already better to rise above it and accept the criticism but ignore it. There have been some lovely comments in this thread and helpful and not so helpful critiques. But your attitude won't help you in the long run.
I can see you have put a lot of time and effort into the site, and I'm sure you feel strongly about your work, but do remember that when you are promoting it and discussing it in a thread, that you are the advertising for the site. People will be less inclined to click on your link when they're greeted with an attitude like that. Graciousness goes a long way. |

I was going to compliment you on your site but your attitude is so annoying that I don't think I'll bother. Congrats. |

Well this guy/gal (username som something) was basically throwing a big FU to my face, after I've done quite a bit of work, and I should just suck it up? Right. Whatever, I don't really care, it's just a forum. Continue. ETA: Also, you lost your temper and complained about not being able to delete your account before anybody posted anything critical about your site. |

Sometimes I show up to NASA with a rocket i built from Wal Mart, and i go ""GUYS LOOK AT THIS. I NEED FOUR OF YOUR BEST ROCKETSHIP MEN TO HELP ME. ALSO- YOU MIGHT WANNA FEATURE THIS IN YOUR "NASA WEEKLY" ""
sometimes they laugh at me, sometimes they throw me out. But there are a few nice folks who try to entertain my efforts, but mostly i just think theyre afraid i'll pop off if they arent nice to me. |
