I am grateful I woke up after a peaceful night's sleep in a good mood.

I am grateful this day will challenge me.

I am grateful that I changed direction over night - not yet changed destinations - just made the first step.

I am grateful that I have my loyal companion (husband) by my side.

I am grateful that I have 71 pounds to lose. It will teach me the art of delayed self gratification.

Today I thankful for:

Not having a drink for seven days today!

For having enough money to do all the food shopping I have to do today

For my daughter being such a "gift" and not a braty teenager like most I see

For my husband and I learning new things about one another since becoming sober (not that we were alcholics that badly) and very much looking forward to all our new journeys we will go on now that we need to find new things to do!

For my mom's surgery going so good that she is already bearing weight on her leg!

Today I am grateful for the beautiful snow that is falling, the fact that my daughter is on school vacation so I can see her more, finally getting all my alter tools and robe!, my upcoming trip to Arizona that is greatly needed, and the fact that my husband and I seem to be able to make it through anything.

I'm grateful that I have such an Awesome wife. Seriously. Me saying: 'she's awesome' is like a Fundamentalist Christian saying: "Jesus was a all right dude, I guess"

Too Funny Connie. LOL!

I am grateful for a wonderful husband who takes care of me when I am sick. And for having plenty of food, water and shelter that protects me from the cold and the heat, the wind and the rain. Because really what else is important. Affection, Food, Water, Shelter.

I am grateful that...

...Rake is finally feeling better and back at work (though it's been nice having him home)
...the holiday's are over and we're no worse for wear.
...that I have time today to run.
...that I have so many new year things to do.
...that it's 2010...finally!

Grateful that my nephew is finally out of pain.

Grateful I don't have to endure snow

Or shovel the snow.

I learn something new everyday.

My daughter, my husband, my mom's surgery going very well today, the fact that we did not get the 12 inches of snow that was expected, and the fact that I am now on this site.
