I got this as an email...and it's funny even though not true...BUT it brings up a good point.
http://www.snopes.com/photos/signs/dogheaven.asp Do our animal partners go to Heaven...or your concept of Heaven...or if you don't believe in Heaven or the concept...where do they go? (Jeez...this PC stuff is difficult sometimes, ya' know?) |

Why do they have to "go" anywhere? For that matter, why do we?

This, I think, could be a very interesting discussion but I must remain true to myself in that I do not believe in a "place" called heaven where anyone or anything goes at death so I am unable to discuss the subject.
However, I would be very interested in the opinions of those who hold to the belief of 'heaven' just to see what their thoughts are on this subjects. Thanks in advance to anyone who is willing to discuss the subject. Peace & Love! |

My son believes our dog is the demon seed of Satan and will reside in Hell. I'm in agreement though...I think our pets...souls or not...reside wherever we do in the afterlife. I think they truly deserve a heaven if they don't have one...but that's my opinion. Y'all are doin' really good here. |

I would like to believe that when we go to the big lounge in the other plane that like "What Dreams May Come" we can make anything happen that we want, and make it such a reality that we are unable to differentiate on that plane, so if you really wanted your dog with you he would appear....However I do not know, but would like to hope they are with their masters in the afterlife or frolicking around on the Happy Hunting Grounds chasing rabbits ~smiles~

I believe that all sentient beings have a soul. That soul is the Supreme Spirit (God). Lord Krishna, an Avatar (Incarnation) of God, said: "I am the true Self (Atman/Soul) in the heart of every creature" (Srimad Bhagavad Gita 10:20). So I believe that dogs have souls.
The other question is, "Is there a heaven?" I believe that God is the Ocean of Life. Everything and all sentient beings have their existence in that Ocean of Life. Nothing can exist outside of God. So all the pets that I have had are still swiming in that Ocean of Life somewhere. Hermano Luis |

I took the white witchcraft correspondence school class with wicca.org.They teach limited reincarnation,no more than 3 times.Under such a scenario ,no dogs don t go to heaven, but, may come back human next time after death, then, maybe after another reincarnation ,may go to heaven! So,what if it doesn t work out & ya have to euthanize a litter of pups,go & read this scenario again & you ve hastened their eternal progression it was taught.Sooorrrryyyy, probably not what you were wantng to hear.By Christian teachings, its also no.
Ive read world religions/religions of man by Smith,Huston,I believe.Ya have to go Buddhist,Hindu,Eastern, reincarnationist religions for a ya/ on do dogs go to heaven. I know the sentiments,n hope some pets Ive logged lots of my life with, would be there too. |

Given some of you know how I feel about Brute (my soul mate) you can pretty much guess my answer.
Not only do dogs have souls, they go to Heaven too. I also believe some are reincarnated as we are. Just because a group of people say one thing does not make it so,that applies to a whole lots of issues. Me,I choose to believe |
