Some excellent answers here folks! For me,I have always felt that in part it is my home away from home.I cant even swim. Almost drowned twice.Cant explain it other then I gain peace. Maybe I was a dolphin in one of my past lives. |

Depends on how I am unbalanced.
One of my favorite things is what Roger and I call Oregon/Seattle days (respectively). Cloudy, misty cool days. we love to go outside and drink coffee and talk. Also days that are either hot and sunny with a cold breeze; Cold with a warm breeze (Chinook); dry, hot and slightly breezy but not enough to actually change the temperature. Those all remind me of being a kid and automatically those days rebalance me. So does snow....hate the cold but love the snow! |

Seems there is a water theme here--sorry Mom, you're the mountain gal, though I'd be up in the mountains if I were near them.
For me, just being outside, breathing, especially if the sun is shining (doesn't matter the temperature, just let me breathe the outdoor air). I know, city air isn't as clean as country air, but I have to take what I can get. |

...we misplace our spirituality...we're taking that as a given k? My question is where do you go to reclaim it?
Rake and I took a drive one day...and got off the right road...lol. We went through this area of green, green rolling fields, the kind that make you want to take off your shoes and run barefoot. The leaves were changing and the colors were magnificent. I was soaking the energy up. I always knew that the mountains made my spirit soar but this was amazing to me...I mean fields along the roadway were giving me this feeling of connection I hadn't felt in a while. Where do you get "it" back and where is the most surprising place for you? |

The mountains and the ocean are powerful
places to connect with my spirituality. I still connect with Churches, my first introduction to the Father,Son, and Holy Ghost (spirit) is still part of who I am even though I no longer belong to organized religion. when I go to down town Boston. I will visit the Saint Anthony's Shrine, they are a very active church and their doors are open throughout the day as all RC churches once were. In New Hampshire there's an out door Catherdal where my daughter got married. Just type in "Cathderal of the pines" and the picture with info will come up. A place worth visiting if your in that area and want to connect with your spirituality |

Hi Connie, water baby here BIG time. I love to swim and surf (although I use a board). I posted before how much fun it is to surf with a priestess at five in the morning. That sort of stuff gets me going big time.
Prayer can do it too. The rosary centers me, but so does taking to a tree or an animal. Just being by myself can do it, too. |
