Default ~ Had a dream of owls...
~ Had a dream of 3 large owls & 4 younger ones in an olive tree.
It wasn't frightening or anything, just remember thinking, "Wow! That's cool!"
They were horned owls, brown, not white, & kept shifting about to different branches.
It was in the yard of a house with many windows & I was by the wall of the house.
The house was in fine shape, the tree was healthy with open branchings.
It was night, moon was bright, that's all I remember of it.
... Just thought it interesting. Any thoughts?

I think I heard that dreaming of owls meant something specific.

This to me, represents many faces and perspectives on life. Owls are known to see through illusion and deceit.

This is all that comes to mind. Maybe it is useful, and maybe not.

I love to go here to interpret my dreams it has a dream dictionary somewhere else I read dreaming of owls was good news.
www.experiencefestival.com

Dream Interpretations
Owl
The owl is the archetype of wisdom in many cultures' parables. The owl is often a sign of longevity, as well as knowledge. This knowledge pertains especially to the future and the mysteries of the night. You may be seeking such knowledge or be receiving an oracle hinting that you may be in possession of such knowledge.

Is the owl in your dream mysterious or forthcoming?

Does the owl speak to you? What does it say?
Owl
It is another symbol for the unconscious. It usually represents wisdom and virtue, and your unconscious may be giving you important massages, so pay attention to the details in the dream. In the American Indian tradition, the owl is considered to be the eagle of the night. Dreaming about owls is a powerful dream, which may indicate that changes are on the way. Superstition based dream interpretations suggest that dreaming about an owl is a negative omen, which indicates a reversal in good fortune. An owl in the house predicts family arguments and chasing it away might cause things to work out for the best.
Dream Interpretation Owl, owls

The owl is a symbol of wisdom, seriousness and thoughtfulness. Dreaming of an owl in the dream means that your judgement of a personal situation or a person was correct. It also could mean that some vague matter became much clearer. Seeing an owl in the dream may also mean that you should take good advice from others. Hearing an owl screeching denotes bad luck, frustration, grief or sadness. Catching an owl or seeing an owl in the cage means that you should be careful of weird people and bad company.
Wild Animals

Wild animals may reflect an area of our lives that is out of control. Many animals have stereotypical meanings that can tell more of their presence. Think of what the wild animal means to you in waking life to understand the reason for its presence in your dream.
Wild animals that are domesticated in dreams may not be animal dreams, but rather dreams of interpersonal success or self-discipline. Many times, making peace with animals is a sign of harmony in our lives and hope for smooth interpersonal relationships.
Is a wild animal posing a threat to you in the dream or do you have it under your influence?

FYI: to the Cherokee Owls symbolize death.

But in the context of your dream I tend to agree with the others.

It could be the death of one life style and the birth of another.

FYI: to the Cherokee Owls symbolize death. It could be the death of one life style and the birth of another. could be a pending move, or job (the house) or a change in thought or belief (political, etc.)
But I agree it (IMHO) depicts a change of some kind, and probably a major one considering the number and types of Owls.

~ Wow! Thank you all so much!
That's all food for thought, huh? {I'll toss some to the owls }

... The owls were silent, shifting from branch to branch.
I was outside the house observing them.
So perhaps they represent various options or thoughts I haven't taken in?
Perhaps I wasn't in the house because the wisdom I seek is outside?
Maybe I'm looking at 7 different ways to go...

Could be I just had a very vivid dream that was just a dream...
But it 'felt' strongly as something. Something vitally tho calmly important.
An odd feeling. Like it was tattooed without pain.

Qryos Maybe it means 7 Steps or it is necessary to go in 7 directions to get where you want or that you need to choose one but I doubt it. It is good they were quiet they were not telling you anything they were definitely showing you something. I think somehow our subconscious comes through when need in our conscious mind and we dont realize so you will probably get what you needed from this dream experience when you need it and to confirm this you may simply ask yourself to let you do what you need to when you need to do it.

I agree with Bella on the owls. The house with many windows...it sounds like you have found yourself( or would like to find yourself) in a situation with many options. The house was neat and well kept. Your life is neat and well kept, organized. You are looking at chices and you are thinking clearly about them. But you want to make the wisest one. That's why you see owls outside of only one window.

Just me going by instinct.
