Default The Amazing Thing Children Can Do
I think it is amazing that children can see things that sometimes we can not see there. My son who is 17 months old will giggle in his room and if you listen to the baby monitor in my room, you can hear someone saying "get-ya-get-ya-goo", like hes being tickled. But the one thing I do not like about this is children having to see not so nice things. My friend Lisa was watching my son when I went to the store up the road. He was crying because I left, but LIsa was holding out her hands, telling him to come here and she told me that he started walking to her and he looked over her shoulder(which she said her back was getting cold and it was warm out with no A/C units on) and began to scream and ran from her. I guess being a parent you want to protect your children even from things that you can't or can see.

Not so unusual. Realistically, not unusual at all. Babies see that kind of stuff.

This is not unusual at all, especially when you consider that children haven't been conditioned to "not see" what is "not there" If you want to protect your children, there are several protections for them. I can post a few, if you'd like.

My point is that you can only protect them so far (not ment to disrespect anybody) I have placed a bit of protection on him but I can only control so far. Some things just slip through. The tickling is not minded or any playful spirit, but I do mind those with malicious intentions.

I agree...you can only protect your children so far. Its a terrorifying aspect of reality, to be out of control and helpless to events in life that concern those we love. This is something my mother has always struggled with and one of the reasons I've got an anxiety disorder.

Most spirits are not out to cause harm, thats the good news! If you ever feel worried about your son, think of him surrounded in Spirit's white, protective light. Besides that, there's nothing more you can do but have faith that spirit (or whom ever you believe in. I use Spirit as a generic reference in order to avoid offense) is guarding your little one. In most cases, your child will not be harmed. Frightened, yes. Who isn't frightened when something unseen and unexpected pops out of no where! Gradually you grow accustomed and realize that the uncertainty and surprise are the worst parts of being open to Spirit.

Also, a bit of advice. Try not to worry too much, because you can call unknowingly call spirits to you or your child. It sounds like you're a good mother, and that your son is very precious and also healthy.

Thank you for your advice. He will no tolerate the dark(like his mother) and he has my husbands great grandmother watching over him. and a very old witch once told me that spirit will not atack something that can not defend itself.

Sounds scary,I can understand your fear

Some homes come with not so nice spirits,in part its because they refuse to go to the light.
Not necessarily staying to hurt anyone.Sometimes they don't know how to get to the light.

Your son is very in-tuned as is his mother.

I have only one suggestion that my physic passed on to me,explanation to the why, (I had a suicide take place where I live,he hung himself outside where everyone could see him,I felt so bad that I couldn't have helped him and for reasons I wont get into now, long story.Cliff notes...he haunted me in my dreams) I was told to tell him to go to the light that its was o.k. go home,I said this before going to sleep and with in a few days,it worked.

You could always put salt around the base boards of his room for more protection. The salt wouldn't hurt anything.

Hang in there Mom,isn't there a old saying "Never mess with a mommas cubs"

Sending positive light and energy to both of you!!

I think the idea of protective rituals is very good. Salt around the baseboards, protective spells and amulets all help.

We all need safe space. Children more than adults.

Here's a protective spell using a jewel and the moon:

Place a jewel, that you regularly carry on you, in a cup of spring water a day before the full moon. The following day, on the evening of full moon, stir the water three times with your finger in a clockwise motion. Take the cup in your hands and in a clockwise, stirring motion, move the cup in a clockwise, circular, stirring motion three times.
Then, repeat these words aloud:

O LIGHT OF THE MOON,
WRAP ME,
PROTECT ME,
KEEP ME FROM HARM.

Raise the cup towards the sky and drink the water. Remove the jewel from the cup. You must carry it on your person to the next full moon in order to ensure your protection.
Repeat this ritual every month to benefit from its influence.

Well said. I also heard of a wall of mirrors, with the mirror side outward, to reflect the dark and chase it away. I would like to think of a protective circle of loving yet strong grandparent-type spirits (I just had an image of elders in cloaks but with their hoods down to reveal their warm faces, all are holding staffs, and they are all both hugging your little one and yet ready to defend him at a moment's notice ). Tree is right: don't worry about the negative ones or you'll draw them to your son.

Much white light to your little one.
