Default ...Good things ...
I had been thinking the other day when a saying came to mind.
"Good things come to those who wait."

As I thought about this and various other things, the same thought kept resurfacing causing it to be always in the forground of Mine mind. I desided that there was something wrong with the statement. I realised that the words were ment as a sort of encouragement for people and a way to help them see that patiance is a good thing. It is in general I beleave... how ever...
As I thought about these words I felt that they left something to be desired. While they are good and heartening words in and of themselves they sort of abdicated a sense of quiet lazitude and an open acceptence of one's present state that while not bad, added no encoragement to the individual to do anything about their personal situation themselves.

I ended up with this as a thought...

"Good things come to those who wait...
Good things are done by those that don't sit around waiting for them."

(Bear in mind the first part is all I had ever heard growing up)

This may seem a bit harsh or perhaps a little sarcastic in tone intitaly but as I said I was thinking these things to Mine self and while I would never truly consider saying this to anyone as a repremand or scorging remark, it is good wood for the flame of thought when turned in and used for one's self.

What have I done today that is good.
What can I do now to improve the world around Me even in the smallest way for some one else, for Mine self, for those I love. What can I contribute to make this moment better in some way.

I think that, perhaps is a better thought. What do you think?
Give it a try.. Tell Me what you come up with.

I like the thought. I have been recently challanging my family to improve just 1% a day. that is doing something more or different today then you did yesterday. I agree you can not wait for good things to come, you have to make your own way.

Makes sense to me. I think that phrase you've heard all your life should be "Good things come to those who work for them" But that sounds a little condescending.
