I often tell people that God made man and man made religion.
If you take a critical and objective look at the three major organized religions of the world - Judaism, Christianity and Islam, you can see that their origins are basically political. Just to clarify, Buddhism and Taoism are not religions as defined by their founders, but are philisophies about how one should live one's life. Moses united the tribes by invoking God to rebel against their Egyptian slave masters. Christianity was founded by Jesus to rebel against the Jewish priest ruling class. Jewish then is a theocratic society , something like what muslims are in their Islamic societies. And without doubt, Islam was founded by Mohammed to unite the Arab tribes to fight the Christian societies for "liebenstraum" or land and resources. Mohammed is smart. He claimed that he is the last prophet so that no one from then on can again use the same ruse. Just like triads, Islam has the apostacy rule, so that no one can leave it once you enter. If it is strictly a religion one should be able to leave it if he or she found that the doctrines are not able to explain God. It is like a Triad that even if you question the rules you are a punished. It is just obey my orders. Mohammed in real life lived like a king or a political leader and a ruling class is established. In fact the split into Shiites and Sunnis is due to power struggles between two factions in the name of God. It is just like Christianity was split basically into Catholics and Prostestants. The Church of England was founded because King Edward did not like the Catholics for forbiging divorces. The pope, historically, rules with armies etc and runs a theocratic society. People who question their doctrines are put to death or incarcerated. So friends, seek God but dont just fall for the ruse about Shariah rule etc. This is just a ruse to enslave your bodies and mind. |

bro.................Buddhism is not a philosophy..................
it's telling people WHAT (not who) they really are.......................and the true nature of reality................. that's why a true Buddhist will tell you...................there's no such thing as Buddhism................in fact, fundamentally..............all things are NO-things.................. |
