BFFT, I do find this fascinating. It would be really cool if it is true, but would it be something that could be used on a large scale, such as Aircraft carriers or large planes? A nanoscientist that i associate with (he could be called a "Power that be" in the nano industry, having worked on several classified projects) states that nanotech originated in space, with material that was found there by scientists during the run up to the apollo mission. So, who put it there? Did it "grow" naturally, as a silicone based life form, or was it engineered? He mentioned it in the same paragraph as cloaking and holography, which makes me wonder about the sky we see at night, to be honest. I know that sounds kind of kooky, but keep in mind they used to have hours of quarantine upon landing the space shuttle. If space is believed to be sterile due to the radiation, or anaerobic environment, whatever....why the need for quarantine? I wonder if there is a story there? I need to research the quarantine steps for the space shuttle a little better. |
