Default The Razor Conspriacy.
Ok I've got a Conspriacy that we need to take down.

It's the conspriacy over Men's(and probalby Woman's too) shaving razor products. I've tried electric shavers and can't get a decent shave from any of them so I use the razor blade and foam methods.

Disposable razors suck. They tear up your face. I use Mach 3 but this is like the 3 or 4 brand change I've made. Why? Because when a new blade series comes out the blades are the best the Gillette or Shick can produce. At least until the next new brand line of blades comes out. Then the quality goes to crap. I can shave for a week when the system is the newest on the block. But once that system is replaced with a new system, ex: Fusion, the blade quality goes into the dump. Now I get 2 or maybe 3 good shaves and the blade is dull. They cost just as much as they did when they first came out but now the quality is less.

There that is my conspiracy.

Is there anyone that makes a good blade that will not cut my face up like a biker knife fight and last long enough to get my money's worth?

My best advise is grow you a full beard.

As for me, I only use the disposable original Good News razors that come about 12 in a pack and are blue. I can shave my shapely legs about 3 times with one, then I have to throw it out.

I still use Mach 3, and usually a single blade lasts me about two weeks. I shave either every day or every other ('cept weekends). I don't ever have a problem.

Get a straight razor and a sharpening strap.

I tried to use my grandfather's once on my legs - still have a 3" scar on my shin from it.

That's why three year olds shouldn't be given sharp objects!

(j/k, sorry if that was too insensitive)

I've made it a point to try and be more 'sensitive' to some of the people around here. Thanks for taking a joke.

I use the same. I shave in the shower. The heat and humidity softens my beard. Even then, the razor lasts 4-5 days. I shave sometimes on the weekend, and I have a goatee so I dont shave my whole face.

Electics never gave me a close enough shave. Also real bad with razor burn. Blades are the best for me, but then, I dont have to shave where women do, thank God.

I shave in the shower as well (though I have no idea why I'm sharing so much). I forgot to mention that. It tends to help soften the beard and open the pores.

Yes, I agree. Shaving in the shower is best.

And as Odessan pointed out above....the 'chest' must never be shaved!

Of course this is why waxing is always a good alternate choice for hair removal. ( No sharp objects)
It might be a bit cruel...but hey. RRRRRIIIIIIPPPPPP
