I know, I was shocked too. And in Britain. Imagine my astonishment.

Rhea Page, a young British woman, was viciously attacked by a gang of four young Somali women, who'd been drinking, as she walked home in the city of Leicester with her boyfriend one evening; the assault was caught on camera (update: full footage in 3-minute video at end): "We were just minding our own business but they kept shouting 'white bitch' and 'white slag' at me.When I turned around one of them grabbed my hair - she literally wrapped her fingers in my hair - then threw me on the ground. That's when they started kicking me.They were taking turns to kick me in the head and back over and over. I was lying on the ground the whole time, crying and screaming. It was terrifying. I thought they were going to kill me.Eventually the police came but it felt like ages. Afterwards I was covered in blood and hair. I had a bald patch on my head where they had yanked my hair out and I was black and blue all over." Yesterday Miss Page's attackers appeared before Judge Robert Brown for sentencing. He told them:"This was ugly and reflects very badly on all four of you. Those who knock someone to the floor and kick them in the head can expect to go inside"And then he added:"but I'm going to suspend the sentence." Naturally, this apparent outrage on British justice (compare it to the court system's treatment of tram-ranter Emma West, whose racist outburst, deplorable but not life-threatening, has landed the young mother in custody over Christmas) has been widely reported in the newspapers, and there are infuriated comments all over the blogosphere from people alleging a double standard for Muslim and non-white miscreants. But I wanted to read about it on Britain's national broadcaster, the one that British licence-payers fund in order to receive the news: Al Beeb.

Alas. I searched high and low on its website, in both national and local news, and I did not find a single item about the attack on Miss Page, nor its aftermath. Not one word.

When I search her name on the BBC News website, this is what appears:Sorry, there are no results for 'rhea page' in the category 'News'.

My wife is in London, at his moment; she can hardly wait to get out. This news story is repugnant, yet not surprising; the UK is a land chockablock with nutters, especially in their judiciary. The judge should be booted from the bench but his will never come to pass. If it had been the reverse, Jews, especially but any non-Muslim, infidel, will suffice, it would have been a different sentence.

This was a blatant hate crime but welcome to the Land o' Nod... the Land of the Absurd, where anti-Semitism is deemed not a hate crime but a learning curve.

Muslims, in the UK, perpetrate numerous anti-western, anti-Semitic criminal actions; however, they are acquitted or given a stern, a wee slap on the wrist, warning for many repugnant racist and anti-Western crimes. Goodbye England, it is only a matter of time when you will all have a Koran and prayer mat tucked under your arms; there will be a mosque on every street corner. Sadly, you deserve it!

This unfortunately is a land where the politically correct are the arbiters of right and wrong. A thief enters your home and he falls through the skylight and injures himself you are responsible for his compensation or worse still if you beat or kill him then you the householder will be jailed. The government is currently merely consulting about doing somthing reference forced marriages among Moslems as they are frightened of offending them by applying normal UK laws.

My wife recently returned from the UK, London. She wasn't, as much, shocked with the rot that has set in, as she has been there often but is utterly disgusted with the moral and social decay that has gripped once a Great Britain, now a little Britain. As you mention, Bill, the entire nation is under the thumb or foot of political correctness. Every western nation suffers from this malady but none so much as the UK. Their judiciary is overseen by a gaggle of fetid nutters, as are all the government agencies.
This is not a rare case, there are many more, of which I am sure you are aware.
No one wants to pay the piper,, they go into a hissy yelling gimme, gimme! Then again, the UK isn't flying solo... all western nations are awash in those with an overt sense of entitlement. Didn't mean to prattle on so long!
