Recently the Knesset passed a bill limiting the funding from foreign governments permitted to support NGO's who purport to stand for peace but in reality are political organizations designed, and openly state it, to overthrow the Israeli state and do away with it. In fact most of the critics of this bill began screaming it was oppressive while they had never read it for themselves. Because in reality it's quite narrow and applies only to NGOs which serve only a political purpose. Groups that do anything else, from culture to tourism, to agriculture to trade are excluded. But here's a good reason why the law exists:
