I don't know that it's perceived as weak, though, Steven.
To be morally right - as in, trying to build a system in which we have no racial discrimination and so on - is a decent enough aim. It's just that in tackling a multi-cultural society we've actually gone way too far, creating what seems to be a sort of tribal system and in respect of Islam, a state within a state. I think it's only recently that one of the women politicians - I think it was either Brown's deputy, Harriet HarPerson (her name is Harman - but she bangs on about equality, hence the nickname) or Hi Hi Hazel (Blears) that actually twigged that the BNP were gaining ground in her constituency. How distant from the public must she have been not to realise that people are getting teed off with the apologist politics? That said, the British don't yell until yelling is the only option; doesn't mean to say that we aren't aware or aren't getting our vocal chords ready. I've scratched the surface of a few liberals lately and they aren't at all happy |

If the MI5 rumour gets around then he'll be yelling a lot quicker than we think If the rumour has anything to do with Thatcher being put back into power for just 90 days, I am all for it. |

You are talking about no less a person than 'Bungers' here. This guy is a top TV personality on both UK newschannels, Islam Channel (where he has his own show) and Press TV. Very popular with the 'Yooth.'
He appears young and cool but belongs to what most Brits consider to be an extreme Islamist organisation which the government thinks are quite sweet. This is the guy who had the last word on Salman Rushdie in the recent BBC programme about him. Ahmed in jail, Bungers on a stabbing charge what next! It's amazing news that Mr Holier-than-thou could be busted in this way! It all sounds too good to be true. Knowing the Brits he probably dared to challenge a burglar armed with an Uzi and handgrenades. (Attacking someone breaking into your home is a very serious offence in the UK.) |
