We started going to Dunbars when it first opened and there was little choice. The owner is ignorant and miserable and the food repetative and overpriced. Enjoy yourselves elsewhere.

I would recommend highly the Argentinian Steak House. Food superb. You will need to book as it is very popular. Although if you call on the off chance like we first did then they organised a table for us and came and got us from the Dick Turpin Pub when the table was ready. Excellent Service, Good Prices and Good Food. And I agree with Dan The Man. ***** Recommended

There is a growing selection of bars and restaurants on Puerto Marino itself!

The beach is around a 25 minute walk. Hope this helps.

William & Ann - I have seen a German resturant in Torrevieja if you are really desperate !!! I am pretty sure it is - Take first turn off N332 into Torre, past the big tall memorial and you pass loads of furniture places. There is a big set of traffic lights just before the road narrows right down .......... That place is on your left before the lights - I think !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Patagonian was very nice food when we went, but I thought really expensive for the area for a lump of meat and a potato and nothing else !!

Hi Sian and Mark

Yes it is located on the Sierra Mar development (by Dick Turpin's bar) just up and opposite of the Max Coop

We haven't visited yet, but friends have (as well as forum members) and have heard nothing but good reports!

MARK

Tip - Don't go for the starter as the steaks are huge apparently! !yes

Has anyone tried the Spanish restaurant on the left hand side of the 322 heading from GA to Santa Pola, the one with the large car park?

Is that "up and over" or the "flat"route? I would have thought it would take a bit longer than that.

Default Eating & Drinking!!
How many do you want? There are bars and resturants all over the area. All types of food, Indian, English, Kebabs, even Spanish !!! Chinese is particulally cheap in comparison and they are many. If nothing tickles your fancy - McDonalds in Santa Pola !!!

Deejay, thanks for the info about the restaurant on the 332.

Marg and I have been into the Patagonia only once. We found the staff to be friendly and the service excellent. I thought it a tad expensive for what you got but nevertheless enjoyed the meal. However, I would take fish over steak anytime so what do I know.

We tried Dunbars on one occasion about two years ago. Thought the menu was extremely limited, overpriced and the fish I had was breadcrumbed rubbish straight out of a packet. At the time I suspected that Dunbars were complacent and not putting in the effort simply because they were one of the few eating places open in GA. Consequently, and although normally only two of us, they have lost our custom.

hi

the patagonia have number 2 resturant at back of masa square, very nice & not quite as busy as no.1.

great steak and cheaper & better quality than the italian/steak house on GA centre.

idian resturant couple of doors down is good, dont be put off by the menu, ask for your favourite dish & they will make it in no time.

not quite as good as the one near us in the UK but that one has been voted best indian in wales. so a little spoilt.

talk of all this food makes me feel hungry !
