hi
take any delivery times with pinch of salt. also dont accept payment structure they provide, this can be changed & not fixed in stone. see if you can get them to accept bank guarantor (i know legal they have to but seem to have ignored this in past). build quality is ok but not outstanding. also know what size the property is, a lot of properties are a lot smaller than those of similar type a few years ago. properties are selling a lot slower at present so get them to offer discount or include extras. if all else fails there are lots of resale properties available. robin.. |

Grupo Masa properties are good value for money, and usually include a furniture pack. We bought an Aurora and our property was actually finished two month before the completion date, but most Grupo Masa properties are late completion. If you are buying direct from Grupo Masa, and not through an agent, work out payment terms to suit you, perhaps small monthly payments and balance on completion, don't be dictated to by the builder. Also ask for extras - something like double glazing, extra light fittings and white goods to be included, or garden tiled. Get as much out of Grupo Masa as you can, they are selling you the property for the same price you would pay through an agent and Grupo Masa have no agents fees to pay so they are making more profit and can afford to offer you extras. Also on completion make sure you get any snags sorted before you pay the final payment.
We are very, very happy with our Grupo Masa property. |

You have to be joking! Our house still has not got the certificate, the inspection was done in June or July (and it is about 3 yrs old) and we are the second owners! (And yes, we used a spanish solicitor, and went to the Notary etc when buying).
One of the houses around the corner had the inspection a week or so ago, and having been into the Masa office in Alicante and seen the plans with them, half of Gran Alacant hasn't got them yet either! Masa is able to get away with it because they are such a large firm, smaller buliders would not do it as easily. Hopefully the certificate will follow soon, but i don't hold my breath. |

I think Masa are a sound company and when I purchased from them they made sure that all that was offered was detailed so that no mis understanding could result. This was done by them without my request.
Our Solicitor stated very clearly that Masa was a financially sound Company and I have no reason to doubt her. They have been trading and building for over 30 years and you do not survive for this period of time by ripping customers off. You get what you pay for and Masa for us gave value for money. 4 years on from first parting with money to them, I ask, would I have bought knowing what I know now? THE ANSWER IS YES. Great little house Great Locaton just a shame about the dog mess (On the pavements that is) Derek |
