Last year I lost a pair of glasses whilst in GA..........I had a new pair made...Varifocals within four days............great service from the opticians...........at the top of cardiac hill...........however in comparison to UK prices they were very expensive........my optician in the UK did say he had customers who live for the major part of the year in Spain who allways have their glasses made in the UK as it is so much cheaper than Spain.

In short check the prices out

... and worked out the costs of Varifocals over the next few years. Cheaper to have laser treatment - so had it done over 2 years ago. Brilliant ! Now I can feel the wind / rain / snow on my face and it's wonderful. Saves me a fortune by not having to purchase prescription sunglasses - and another plus is that you get all the choices that non-spec wearing persons have. Only problem is that it's really mucked up my Stevie Wonder impressions.
