Default creepy crawlies!
we are having major problems with ants at the moment. they are everywhere in the house and as soon as we clear one lot they turn up in another room.
i know you can never stop the ants from coming in but i just wanted to know if this is a "summer" problem and will they disappear in winter??
if not has anyone got any tips as my poly fillar and ant traps are now running out!!!!!!!!!

many thanks
rich

Hi Rich

Try the ant powder which is quite effective and also see where they are coming from. Sometime they come up inside where the electrical inspection covers are on the wall.

If they are coming in though the front or back doors, another tip is to draw a line of chalk (yes really) which they will not cross

Hope it helps

We have not had any problems with ants when we have visited over the winter months however when my daughter visited in August of this year and last she told me there were loads of ants and she had to use ant traps. We are over next week so hope there aren't any around.

Hi

Could you please tell me where you get the ant powder and what strength it is to get rid of ants. Is it always like this in the summer months. Never had a problem in winter

Thanks
Lyn

You get the powder from shops such as Suzie Screws opposite Medical Centre. It seems most effective but you have to keep using it and put down at any hole you see ants entering or leaving. They are supposed to take it back to nest and it kills them off.
