he actually just got engaged.

Other teams hated playing us because of him. I always thought it was hilarious, but never wanted to play against him. He was pretty good though.

Soccer is a very physical game, its amazing how many people get hurt bad out there. Lots of fun to mix it up on the field though.
I played for a while too, and its easy to get hurt bad, but grabbing dudes nuts is F'n gay. I cant believe he never got any teeth knocked out.

I think she went over the line, however I did have a friend who used to play dirty in his HS soccer games. He would grab another dudes balls when guarding him and probably should have been thrown to the ground. I am not so sure the girl that got punched or thrown to the ground by her hair deserved that much retaliation for what they did, but it is part of the game.
Dude played HS soccer in England???

the punches and takedown to me are just agressive(albeit stupid) play.the part that drew my ire was the deliberate attempt to take the other players leg out and prevent her from striding/kicking the ball.

That devils advocate crap was bullshit. Look, I agree. Someone nails you (a female) in the chest with an elbow you retaliate. But you do it by discreeting plugging her between the shoulder blades with a fist. Not but pushing he two feet away so you can get a full and blatant punch off.

As for the ponytail smackdown....I did not see her grab her crotch....and trust me I looked....closely! As mentioned she pulled he shorts, which should not be but also should not warrant a neck snap like that.

We cant just say "soccer can be rough, it happens" in all of these cases. There was further video from this game of her high kicking and just missing a players head and a shot where in fighting for the ball she kicks 7-8 times but only after the ball maybe twice. The rest we blatant kicks at the opponents legs.

Look, if I was the ref on the field I would possibly have called fouls where needed and red carded her immediately for the hair pull (as I think is what happened). To me it looked like she had a bad day and could not properly handle the treatment. Kicking her off the team seems a bit much but either she has a history (of which I do not know).

On a side note I would take her on for a few rounds. Could hurt but would be fun

I look at it and I'm like, 'That is not me,'. I have so much regret. I can't believe I did that.
I think the way the video came out, it did make me look like a monster. That's not the type of player I am. I'm not just out there trying to hurt players. That's taking away from the beauty of the game. And I would never want to do that."

You play until you hear the whistle. Whatever you get away with until then is up to you . . . I would have to say that she was provoked by the first elbow when she unleashed the forearm shiver to her back and the shorts grab on the ponytail yank. Her retaliation would not have happened if those 'cheap shots' do not occur.

Away from the ball, anything goes.

All of the other stuff around the ball was probably whistled for fouls.

But, if you can intimidate the other team, they will start to second guess whenever they come near her.

I would much rather see this competitive play than a professional player keep a ball alive with his hand before setting up the winning goal.

She said she had guys trying to grab her under the water and she'd kick 'em in the nuts.

She's a tall blonde who now works for Disney (she sent my daughter a bunch of signed posters and stuff from the shows she works on and i was telling my daughter about her playing waterpolo on the boys team before there ever was a 'girl's waterpolo team').

Another friend of mine from HS was the first girls soccer player to make the Boys Varsity (she made the Varsity team as a Freshman). We didn't have a Girls Soccer team.

I would have also gone to school with the first female pole vaulter there but the track coach wouldn't allow girls to pole vault. He said that they lacked the muscle in their backs and shoulders to get the pole bent for the lift up and that they'd dislocate their shoulder if they ever did.

....then we had this thing called the Olympics come along and Stacy Dragila won a Gold medal doing what he said couldn't be done.
