F**K THEM, F**K SOCCER, and F**K the fact that bridge money I PAY is being used for a f***g soccer stadiumin PA!!! ![]() My only rejoinder is that this money is not just going to a soccer stadium, but to also help revitalize a depressed area, and using land that was otherwise being unused. They are also building housing, stores, etc. A bunch of Private money is being used as well. The tax revenues this stadium, and the rest of the developement, not to mention the increased bridge tolls of Soccer fans coming from NJ, will generate, will help to defray these costs. Also, I believe that many people feel the same way, and that when the tolls were raised, they started changing the way the Port Authority uses the new revenues. |

brett you can vote here for your favorite name. http://www.philly.com/philly/about/a.../37350849.html The team guy told me the prices will be announced sometime in the next week or two and they will be expecting our money some time this summer - w/ the tix in the SOB area being the cheapest (not sure I want to stand and chant the whole game in some area behind the goal {but might check it out for a game or two}). I hope I can afford the two tix I signed up for on top of my Phillies tix. |

Thanks Ashey. I should have posted this myself but forgot. I actually got a call a week ago from a marketing guy for the Philly Franchise telling me about this contest - having sent them money for a season tix deposit. I am also a charter member of the "Sons of Ben" fan club set up a few years ago to promote this team coming to Philly so they also told me about the contest. I have already voted for "City", but I have been trying to think of a better name w/ no light bulb yet. |
