Default Step it up people
Since the release of Civ V, the Civ V forums have more people viewing them than the OT does.

SO...........
That will likely change once the novelty wears off.

Failing that, the site owners could change the rules and let us post porn in the OTF.

I'll get Civ V once all the patches are released and I hear that it's worth my time.

QFT.

Once it's been made into a decent game, then I'll pay money for it.

I'll be waiting my usual extra year or two for Firaxis to produce a good game out of the rubbish they expect us to pay for.
Meanwhile, you guys can work on getting the bugs out.

Probably not. I still haven't assembled my new PC (I bought all the parts) yet my old one plays it on direct X 9 and on low settings. I think I could bump up the settings to medium but I haven't tried it yet.

I'm losing hope. Next thing you know the on topicers will be out posting us as well as out numbering us. This is a bizarre turn of events.

I don't meet the minimum requirements on processor, gfx or RAM...
As long as you're close on the processor and gfx you'll be fine. As for Ram, just spring the $20 for more since Ram costs next to nothing. I bought 1 2 Mb sim card (DDR2) for my computer like a year ago for something like $25. I'm sure you could get it much cheaper now. Even if you're not close on the processor and gfx you can still get a duel core CPU for like $40 and a capable video card which meets the minimums for around $40. That means a total of $100 (60 pounds sterling?) for an upgrade to a Civ 5 capable system? That's dirt cheap.

I'm playing Civ V with the machine I bought for Civ IV. I added some RAM and I only have a GT240 video card. The game runs fine in X9.

I gave away the old Core 2 Quad 2.66GHz and 4GB of RAM to a friend on twitter. I advertised there.

That's what you guys get for not following my tweets.

Giving computers to me has the advantage of being tax deductible.

You are all an embarrassment. Get real computers.

I've got old computers collecting dust in my basement faster than the ones most of you use...

I just upgraded my Core 2 Quad 2.6GHz to a Core i7 870 because it was too slow.
Methinks you should find better things to waste your money on

But Fox News told me that all homosexuals were depraved scum who wanted to destroy America with their sinful sodomy. And they're both fair and balanced.

I don't watch Fox News, they just tell me things. They tell me in my sleep. They come to me in my dreams. The voices never stop. But at least they're pleasant voices, fair and balanced.
