Default What are the worst movies you have seen from the year 2000 till 2009?
The last time I went to a move theater was 2003. I know, it's been 7 years since I went to a movie theater. Pretty long time. What was this last movie that I saw? It was a movie with an, I guess, ironic title but ever since this movie, I have resolved to never give theaters my hard-earned money. What was this movie?

I never knew a 'comedy' could be so infuriating.

These are the worst ones that I have seen

battlefield earth 2000
The Order 2003
gigli 2003
catwoman 2004
epic movie 2007
shrek 3 2007
meet the spartans 2008
disaster movie 2008

All the spoof ones were incredibly bad
I've seen none of those.

For me, it was easily 10,000 BC. Gawdawful.

Catwoman is up there. I saw it on a cross-country flight. About midway through I took out the earphones and just sat there, watching the screen without sound, and it was still terrible.

Poseidon was awful because it was a disappointing remake of one of my favorite cheesy disaster flicks, and I paid full ticket price for it, which hurt even more. I remember at one point in the movie a female character was killed, and it took me 5 minutes to figure it which one it was, since they were all interchangeable (skinny brunettes).

I've seen some pretty bad independent movies via Netflix, but won't count those.

Usually I'm pretty successful at avoiding seeing movies that are obviously going to be bad.

Anyone see Anger Management besides me?
I did. Mediocre, but not utterly atrocious. 300 was far worse. I only saw it because Drake kept whining at me that I couldn't say a movie was utter crap without actually watching it. So I saw it, and made a thread to confirm that it was, indeed, utter crap, exactly as I had predicted (if anything, it was worse). Drake, however, has still not apologized.

Oh, and GI Joe, but that wasn't bad-bad, it was awesome-bad. Highly entertaining.

I don't think you have to actually mention Uwe Boll movies. Their reputation precedes them. I've never seen one, because I'm told so vehemently that I never should.

Spoiler: Elok, you were not enraged by the fact that everything in that entire movie was a set up? All the crappy **** that happened to Adam Sandler from the initial fight on the plane that put him in anger management to begin with, was a set up. That infuriated me when I watched it. I couldn't believe how evil the therapist and Adam Sandler's girlfriend were. And he's all smiles in the end. Get the **** out of here. You've been arrested like 5 times, beat up a dozen times, lost your job, thought you lost your girlfriend, etc. etc. And it's never made clear if Adam Sandler even had anger management issues to begin with! He was manipulated into yelling at a woman on a plane and throughout the movie, did his best to avoid another 'anger' problem, if yelling at woman set up to give you bad customer service is even an anger problem. The movie infuriated me.

Albie needs anger management
That's how I felt. Like was the movie supposed to be a joke in itself. Like it's supposed to make you angry?

Dude, Where's My Car was phenomenally stupid. It gets my vote.

Also some indie flick about two guys who get in their car, drive out to the woods in Oregon, go camping, and then find some hot spring. There were like 10 minutes of pointless dialogue (note: there was no other kind of dialogue) in an otherwise boring and uneventful film which, like the dialogue, had no point.

Strange choice. It was supposed to be phenomenally stupid. That's why it was slightly amusing.

Yes, he did.

But, if you don't understand the whole blaxploitation thing from the 70's, I could see why it could be seen as stupid.

ACK!
