Default Can somebody (meaning Asher) explain to me why this is even legal?
It's not done for fun, it's done for population control purposes.

So it is not only legal, it is encouraged to fill the quota.

Is clubbing humane? I'm guessing it knocks them unconscious and they don't suffer too much, right?

We all know that's true. The armies of killer seals are well established in history.

It could be worse. They could be French speaking seals.

What would happen if the seal population would go unchecked? Would they attack the eskimoes?

In Canada and Greenland, the term Eskimo has fallen out of favour, as it is considered pejorative by the natives and has been replaced by the term Inuit.

Kuci may have a point. Is it within the rules of hockey to raise the stick above the shoulder like that? I'm sure someone will explain. Also, that puck looks rather large. Do the rules specify anything about the maximum diameter?

I've known people who one moment decry seal hunting and then go off and eat a bacon sandwich or put on leather shoes later on. Not exactly seeping in logic there...
But they're so cuuuuuuuuuuuute

They're even more cute when they're not moving and the ice is a delicious ruby red.

Probably the cruelest thing about seal hunting is the vast unemployment created amongst polar bears. They don't even have a welfare state to look after them

Polar bears will be fine.

If there is no ice for the bears, there is no ice for seals either.

Melting ice driving bear food to the bears.
