Once she gets rid of the name sparky, I might give it a read.

However, congrats all the same

Please tell me Sparky's last name is Laimbeer. Even if not, to Galnemer.

There are no heroines in Ghostbuster, for one thing. Gozer is also Sumerian, not Babylonian. Yeah, I know, big difference.

The Ghostbusters' firehouse is in a neighborhood that's like a demilitarized zone. Sounds like Detroit to me.

Now I don't want to tell you guys how to spend eight of your hard-earned bucks, but the book has gotten nothing but great reviews so far, including from one of the bigger names in fantasy literature, Elizabeth Bear: http://www.tor.com/index.php?option=...&id=59018#more

One of the most promising debut novels I’ve read in a great while… I’d highly recommend this book to anybody who reads fantasy. It reminds me in many regards…of another exceptional first novel…Emma Bull’s seminal War for the Oaks, and there’s not much higher praise that I can give.

http://www.amazon.com/Embers-Laura-Bickle/dp/1439167656

Currently getting 4.875 stars at Amazon.

So, come on. Contribute to the Guynemer Retires Early To A Cabin In The Woods Fund.

Don't you know? I'm slowly poisoning them to death with evil, autism-causing vaccines. I'm going to wipe out the Buckeye Nation in one generation.

Dude, we invented Script Ohio. It was first performed by the Michigan Marching Band, as a tribute to the Buckeyes during a UM-OSU game.

I'll check it out at the local bookstore IF you promise not to take the banjo with you.
Agreed. But I reserve the right to grow a ZZ Top beard and rant about the government reading my thoughts and stealing my cheese.
