Thanks for the info. So basically she could sign a 1 year lease, and after 1 month give a 60-day notice to leave without having too much trouble?

Sloww, if the intention of staying only 3 months is concealed from the landlord upon lease signing and she stops paying rent when she's ready to leave is there anything the landlord can do about it other than maybe contacting a credit bureau and reporting her?

I think that's about it, unless rentals communicate among each other. If so, it could be difficult.

Find a month to month. It's not that hard.

My advice was not worthless as I can provide accurate information about the current state of things in Ontario. Your advice was worthless because you don't know **** all about the market in Ontario.

Why do you assume I know nothing about Ontario? I've applied for jobs out there in the past.
1) carpetbagger
2) it is always a safe assumption to assume you know nothing about anything

1) carpetbagger Yeah, I'd be a carpetbagger if I went out that way for work.

2) it is always a safe assumption to assume you know nothing about anything Since you agreed with me:

1. Neither of us know anything about the rental market in Ontario.
2. You shook your magic 8 ball and it told you what to say,

No, Asher's logic that you know nothing about the rental market in Ontario is still sound regardless of whether slaugh found a month-to-month or not.
