Will it be darker and gritier than that Costner atrocity?
I never quite understood the beef with that movie. Since when was dark and gritty a bad thing?

I think it would be cool. The storyteller makes the story, not necessarily the story that is being told.

I liked almost everything about the Costner version, except of course Costner. Every scene he's in was outright torture. He kept the movie from being anything more than mediocre.

So I'm ready for another version.

Hopefully another one will join the only two good versions, Men in Tights and the 1938 version with Errol Flynn.
