Default Ironing dress shirts, the American way.
The crease is supposed to be there.

ACK!

The cuffs that I get back from the cleaners are tubular. No crease.

The sleeves not including the cuffs come back from the cleaners with two creases.

I see. That sounds more like obsessive compulsive to me.

What's that supposed to mean?? I wear white socks, with jeans. Is that supposed to be a shot at me?!?

That does it. I'm going to eat and cool down some. You really have me irritated right now, onodera.

Barbaric. White socks are for playing tennis. You are supposed to wear cream, buff or tan socks with jeans and/or chinos.

I always ironed down the middle of the sleeve without making creases, then flipped them *once* at a 90 degree angle and did the same again.

No crease without the extra work.

I wear non-iron shirts.
I've never been keen on that idea. But I think you combine that with your "wear a jumper over the top of the shirt" strategy so no one sees how badly creased the shirt is. Don't worry...your secret is safe with me. And the rest of the internet

I prefer the take the shirts right out of the dryer and put them on hangers method of avoiding wrinkles . Sure, it isn't as good as the ironed the night before look, but its decent enough.

Ditto... efficiency!

And if anyone gives you crap about it, brag about how it's the "green" alternative and look down on them. The whole office will be on board before you know it.

My long-sleeve dress shirts always had creases.
I wore white socks with sneakers.

Hang it up in the bathroom while taking a hot shower.
Does that really work? I'm really trying to find an alternative to ironing.

Ironing is such an ancient method, why has no one come up with a better way to straighten out your clothes yet?! I am sick of gradually ruining my clothes due to ironing, not to mention sweating, fear of burning self and fear of forgetting to turn it off before going to work.

Ironing It should be banned

She will now and then, otherwise I'm stuck doing it. However, in the summer here it is acceptable to roll your sleeves two or three times so the shirt is about at your elbow. It's more casual but still says your in "business mode".

Dry cleaned. Cleaned, pressed and returned in a plastic shroud.
