Default Ask me questions.
When Putin gets bored of running everything from the shadows and decides he's going to once again run everything in name as well as in deed... Will people in Russia be upset by this or will they just go along with it?

Are the best lookin chicks still in the conquered Germanic areas?
No. Not that many hot chicks in Kaliningrad oblast.

Well, it will be perfectly legal, so no point in getting upset much, except everyone has seen now how he hid in the first months of the crysis, not knowing what to do. That wasn't what he expected when he became PM.

Do you honestly think Russia is a fully functioning democracy?
No, I do not think we are a fully functioning democracy. Nor do I think the US are.

Which country in the world today is, in your opinion, closest to a fully functioning democracy?

Also how democratic do you consider Slovenia (if you've ever heard of the little place)?
What do you think about the EU?
What's your opinion of Napoleon?

What's your take on the the Soviet Union's impact on the Russian nation?
Switzerland, probably.

I don't know anything about Slovenia's ploitical system. I only know it's a PitA to obtain their visa.
EU is a step in the right direction, except its officials should be directly elected by the people.
Napoleon? A visionary who got his ass kicked by Russia and led us to our self-identification as a nation.

USSR was our highest achievement so far. Being the second strongest nation in the world and making half the world red is not something you can dismiss.

What do you think about Russia's law mandating participation in the production of gay pornography?

Answer the question!
I don't pay much attention to imaginary laws.

Is there a version of Ice Road Truckers on Russian TV?
Never heard of that.

Are all Russian emigrés racists?
No idea. I know we get assimilated easily.

So, in that case, do all Russians who immigrate into the United States racists because they think we're racists?
Are you sure they're Russians and not some other ethnicity from Russia/xUSSR?
Also, don't forget that in less multicultural countries the acceptable levels of racism are higher than in the US.

Is there any such thing as Russian beer, or is Vodka really the only spirit over there?

There are many local beer brands, but almost none are exported.
Why is Russia still not a member nation of the WTO? They gave up the whole command economy earlier than the Chinese did but China got admitted in 2001. What will it take to bring them into GATT and the WTO?
Joining WTO isn't something that is beneficial for a country that depends on unsophisticated exports.

How does the communist party fare in elections, and how is it regarded currently by the population?

How do most people regard the USSR?

Do people worry that Putin is taking too much power?

How do people regard Obama?

Would you describe Russia as a whole to be an unsophisticated country?
No, I wouldn't. Foreigners seem to have trouble integrating into Russian society.

CPRF is the most popular party after the Putin's one. Most people consider them impostors, though.

A lot of people would prefer to go back to the USSR.

As long as Putin manages to keep the economy afloat, people won't mind him usurping the power.

Obama is generally well-regarded. Some people do of course call him a monkey, but educated people don't.

NFC. I don't drink.

Asher, vodka isn't cognac or champagne. It's simply 60%water, 40% ethanol; it's for getting drunk, not savouring the taste, why spend money on a premium brand?
