I liked the first few S1 episodes for the history & social commentary, but after that it started seeming too soap-opera-ish for my tastes. Does it get better later on?

Terrific show. I love the 60s style. I want a fedora now. I watched season 1 but haven't seen any of season 2 yet. A great show.
