No boycott. We boycotted the Moscow Olympics when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan, and the end result was we only hurt our athletes.

The Olympics should be above politics.

No, we shouldn't boycott it. But we should bust the government of China's balls the whole while.

I would have voted "Yes", but Boycott Chinese goods instead took my vote. We should be doing that anyway, though.

I love the track and field events, but I've decided NOT to watch the Olympics this year because of China's actions. I've never been happy about them getting the hosting gig in the first place, but this is just too much.

No. Instead have the official U.S. uniforms include "Free Tibet" emblazoned across their chests.

the best move by far would be for Tibetan athletes to come in.

No.

That would be like Nazi Germany banning black athletes. I don't see how it is productive for athletes to participate in a Chinese Olympics, unless they are willing to allow everyone to come.

Which athletes are being denied entry?

I'll take my worst day over the average Chinese's best. Gratitude for the rights and luxuries available in your country isn't mutually exclusive with being critical when your country errs.
