Seriously, you must have a pretty decent telescope. I had one when I was a kid and I had a hard time watching the moon with it. I suspect it was even inferior to the ones Galileo made.

I had one of those type of scopes when I was a kid, it nearly put me off astronomy for good!! But yep, I've treated myself to a good one now I can afford it.

This is a 7" Mak/Cass that the image was taken with.
