Default McBush is pretty slimy.
Please O, let us know of one outright lie McCain has made. Bonus points if it is as juicy as misremembering sniper fire or not realizing your pastor and mentor of 20 years was a racist.

But be careful Oerdin, you need to save a thread for today to denouce Petreaus

I guess it is good you posted that and spared Oerdin the humiliation of what would have been his obvious first attempt.

Complaining about lying Republicans is like complaining about the sun being up in the daytime.

If he lies then I'll post it but so far I've seen no such thing. I've heard Fox News tried to claim Obama lied about a McCain speech but going through the record it's clear Fox was the one lying and not Obama. No surprise there.

From your own damn article!

Generally when Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, has hit McCain for this remark, he has been accurate in his description.

Pertinent quotes for the benefit of the stupid:

* There have been at least three times when Obama has twisted what McCain said to portray McCain as advocating war in Iraq for 100 years or more: As recently as the end of March in Lancaster, Penn., Obama said, “you know, John McCain wants to continue a war in Iraq perhaps as long as 100 years." At the Cleveland, Ohio, presidential debate, Obama said the U.S. is "bogged down in a war that John McCain now suggests might go on for another 100 years." In Houston, Texas, on February 19, Obama said that McCain "says that he is willing to send our troops into another 100 years of war in Iraq."

* It is accurate to say that Obama has in the past distorted McCain's comments. Watch a Republican Youtube video that shows Obama's words from today and from the past HERE

* It is a matter of opinion to say that voters are “tired of distortion, name-calling, and sound bite solutions to complicated problems.” But it is accurate to say that Obama wrote that opinion in his book "The Audacity of Hope," and that he is violating his own stated aspirations. (Audacious indeed.) Because not only has he distorted what McCain said, he is not being honest about having made those distortions.

It's beyond me why Obama would want to change the focus of this debate from McCain's willingness to have troops in Iraq indefinitely to his misrepresentation of what McCain said. As ABC News' Ron Claiborne sagely noted McCain's actual remarks are sufficient Democratic ammo.

I say again that you are a petty liar with all due respect.

Please. The opinion piece from ABC was much better then the right wing blog claiming it is "exposing and combating liberal media bias".

Doesn't anyone have a real source which isn't an opinion piece?

All of this just shows how good Obama is if the best they can come up against him is that Obama said McCain was fine with the troops staying in Iraq for 100 years when McCain said he's fine with the troops staying in Iraq for 100 years if no one is shooting at them.

Seems like a perfectly good paraphrase and quibbling over crumbs to me. Certainly not an outright lie as Hillary and McCain have done.

You have yet to put forward anything resembling a lie by McCain...

Tally in this thread thus far:

Obama - 3
Hillary - 1
McCain - 0

Obama

I know... I had the same thought when reading it. I then looked at the date of the story

Oh, and folks... let's minimize the personal crap, and focus on the the topic.

Thank you.

edit: fumbled the url

I think the problem with McCain is he lacks credibility. What has he done for his country? You should elect a true patriot like Obama or Clinton.

Right Oerdin?

I don't like McCain, but the one thing I hate more than McCain is people like you who are 10000000000x more likely to be twisting facts and being highly selective of facts in order to convey a false impression.

Your entire stream of bullshit lately on politics, from the thread titles down to your signature, are full of bullshit and sleazy political nonsense.

You are the worst offender here. You are guilty! Guilty, sir.

Surely there must be a long list of things you dislike more than McCain. I'll grant that people like Oerdin are probably pretty high on that list, though.
