Default Why is it
All that alcohol gets converted into sugar which gives you energy and wakes you up.

If you're not diabetic the spike caused by the sugar goes back to normal in time. Still, that's what wakes you up.

Try drinking booze with a higher alcohol content but in less qty. If you use mixers then only diet sodas or unsweetened juice and make your own. Splenda instead of sugar. Sleep well.

I don't know, but the same thing tends to happen to me. Well, apart from the few times I get absolutely wasted.

its because. after you have been drinking, you are not actually sleeping but unconsious, because of the poisoning. alcohol is a poison after all. after you liver have sorted out the alcohol you have drunk and you are not poisoned anymore, you wake up. after this you can go to normal sleep. remember to drink plain water and eat something with sugar in before you go to sleep, it helps with the hangover, fresh air in good too.

Ditto. I don't even feel sleepy, despite having slept for only 4-5 hours and having been pretty plastered the night before.
