You mean it's too difficult to resist the temptation of shooting at unarmed people, or are unarmed people some kind of offense to gun owners?

Yeah, but then a handful of hooligans would start killing people with swords... violence does not end because we lack tools to inflict it.

In the land without sharp objects, the man with a pencil is king.

Come to think of it, the only reason pencils are no longer the primary option for a weapon is because they are so easily accessable.

yay, we took the 3rd position once again

Fortunately gun crime isn't a big deal in here, it's kind of rare. OTHER kind of violent crime is too common though People like to murder others using knives and other house appliances.

I must say that I'm suprised at how badly we kicked Finland's and Iraq's asses in that regard. Well, I must say the US is doing a lot to help the latter catch up

The United States has 90 guns for every 100 citizens.

Almost there!

It's kind of disturbing that US's military budget is as large as the rest of the world's put together. "US vs Them" indeed.

Blake, I think the disturbing part is that there's obviously tons of waste of money.

It'd be even more disturbing (to the rest of the world) if they WEREN'T wasting it .

USA is... to the rest of the world... kind of like a bad* horror movie. Like at the start of the Iraq war: NO! Don't open that door! *GAH*!
It'd suck to live there, yet everyone in the bad horror is oddly and obstinately oblivious to what's actually going on.

* By bad I mean of course good, if you know what I mean.
