I like anything spicy from pad thai to penna puntanesca

I really like tubular pastas more than string pastas, and I'm not a big fan of bakes (i.e. lasagna), though my wife is.

I like red sauces, but they must contain sausage. I love a good alfredo and pesto. However, if you can make a great spicy pasta dish without tomatoes or cream than you can have my heart.

Generally, I put red pepper flakes on my pasta.

in general I like pasta a lot better

I quit eating it for a while, because it is high in carb and not much other stuff, I found a pasta (processed, but oh well) that was 20% protien, and have that occasionally now though.

Barilla Plus, I think. It tastes fine also, not too weird (although I do always eat it with sauce).

JM
(I just find a healthy ready prepared red sauce to eat with it, since that is easy and reasonably healthy, I think)

I wouldn't expect a Texan to understand the purpose of flavorings other than "mesquite barbeque"...

actually the different shapes provide different textures and can influence the dish in subtle ways.

i myself like the elbow macaroni. baked mac and cheese for the win!

But soon the pasta messiah will come, destroy the false pizza gods and lead us all to the right pasta.

Heretic. Just continue like that, and the inquisition will deal with your pizza obsession soon. But it's not too late to repent and return to the path of pasta.

Tomatoes, cream, garlic, onions, portabello, capers, fresh or dried red peppers, olives, anchovies, oregano, cilantro, and prosciutto (a variation of puttanesca). Served with penne, and topped with ground pepper, crushed red peppers, and parmesan.

Fettucine

Alfredo's in Epcot made a believer out of me:

Le Originali Fettuccine all'Alfredo - Our world famous creation invented in our parent restaurant in Rome in the early 1900s. Homemade egg noodles tossed in a special butter and parmigiano cheese
